Where do the Locals Eat? Restaurants in the Smokies
The Smoky Mountains are on the grow! If you haven't been to the Smokies in over a year or so, you've likely missed out on some of the restaurants in the Smokies we've featured on this list that have opened within that time (or maybe a little longer, but still new enough that many visitors might not be aware of them), so we wanted to take some time and introduce you to what could become your new favorite restaurant(s) during your time in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg or Sevierville.
In this list, we've included their address and phone number/website, but also a review of the restaurant in the Smokies from Google Reviews in addition to its average rating on Google. As a restaurant and online menu information for new restaurants continue to provide the occasional challenge, we felt this was a more encouraging way to introduce these awesome new restaurants to you (and who knows? You might want to surprise the party and yourself with an impulsive menu item).
Let's take a look.
Wild Bear Tavern
4236 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863
Google Review Rating: 4.2 out of 5
"All Around Great. Staff was Great, Service Great and the food was out of this world good. Portions where amazingly large. Many times large portions mean mediocre food. Not the case here. There pancakes are 18 inches and still taste better than any Ive had. Prices are right where they should be. Most Adult meals run around $12 total for Breakfast Drink Included. A Hidden Jewel that wont be hidden long." – Google Review

Dickey's Barbecue Pit
3784 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863
Google Review Rating: 4.4 out of 5
"This place is amazing! The staff are incredibly friendly and the service was quick, the franchise owner even came out and introduced himself, I always appreciate that kind of hospitality. I am a huge brisket fan and they didn't disappoint. It was fresh cut as soon as I ordered it, juicy, warm, and just right on the seasoning. I topped it with the sweet BBQ and had a perfect sandwich, buttery bread was a nice addition. Also had mac and cheese (tasted homemade), and creamed spinach (was just like spinach and artichoke dip), both were top notch. I will be coming back here often for that amazing brisket. Don't pass this place up, you'd be missing some high quality meat and great service, quick at that." – Google Review

NAO Japanese Grill

Google Review Rating: 4.0 out of 5
"The food here is superb! We thought we were settling when we landed at NAO but we were blown away. The meats were tender, the vegetables crunchy and each bite was full of flavor. The sushi was fresh and delicious. This is the best hibachi we’ve had hands down, and we’re no strangers to Japanese cuisine. LOVE this place!!!" – Google Review

"Went here for breakfast the food was AMAZING. French toast and the cinnamon roll pancakes were so delicious. The singing chickens were so funny and entertaining my son enjoyed watching them… so did the adults! Our waitress Becky was so nice and did a great job with our party of 7. We plan to eat breakfast here again before we leave to go back home but we will definitely be back on our next trip. Keep up the awesome job!" – Google Review

"Vibrant, fun place with a great menu. I loved the blackened grouper sandwich with a garden salad. The fish was cooked perfectly – so delicious! My dining partner had the taco salad and said it was the best she's ever tasted. Lots of Jimmy Buffet music permeates the restaurant and the outdoor dining area as well. Highly recommended." – Google Review

Local Goat – New American Restaurant
2167 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863
Google Review Rating: 4.6 out of 5
"Absolutely love this place. We are always impressed with the local goat. It has quickly become one of our favorites. In fact, we stopped on the way home from Hilton head this year just for dinner. On this occasion my steak was a little over cooked. They promptly replaced the whole meal while leaving the old plate for me to pick at. Love this place. Food is delicious and service is fantastic. 13 people ordered different entrees. They were all delicious. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, wings and steak with crab cake!" – Google Review

Curry N More
903 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862
Google Review Rating: 5 out of 5
"Wow! Absolutely authentic and fantastic. I have travelled the world and can say that "Curry & More" is one of the best American Restaurants for Indian style foods.
Of course Basmati Rice
Chicken Biryani – Delicious
Grand Ma's Chicken Curry – Delightful and just he right amount of zing.
Butter Chicken – Just like you'd expect in India
Onion Bonda – Fresh to the taste
Chili Mushrooms – You need to sample these if you like that zesty flavor.
They have a great chicken dish called "Chicken Pops" that will make you think Tandoori but the flavor scrumptious.
Of course there's the authentic Tandoori Chicken
Nan breads and Poori to help you sop those authentic juice flavors.
I'm retired now, but if I were still doing my Restaurant Show you can be sure I'd be reshooting this one a couple of times a year.
Curry N More is now one of my top three restaurants in Sevierville."

Google Review Rating: 3.8 out of 5
"We had a great experience all our food was great, everything arrived pretty quickly our drinks stayed full. It was very clean the manager walked around to check on us. My kids loved all their food and really loved the root beer on tap. Ashlee was our server and she was fantastic! She was very friendly, great with our kids and made sure we always had everything we needed. We felt the prices were pretty average to most places around the area slightly cheaper than other places we ate. Would definitely eat here again!" – Google Review

Crockett's Breakfast Camp
1103 Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738
Google Review Rating: 4.8 out of 5
"We ate there twice in the week we stayed in Pigeon Forge. This place was so good that we had to come back. The prices are extremely reasonable and the food is amazing. The pancakes are 2" thick and the cinnamon rolls are as big as your head. The skillet meals can feed the whole family. This place is a required breakfast stop if you're in the area!" – Google Review

Taste of Italy
1235 East Pkwy, Gatlinburg, TN 37738
Google Review Rating: 4.4 out of 5
"The Parmesan knots fresh from the oven are exquisite and the accompanying marinara sauce is the perfect version of a red sauce. Red sauces can be bitter but not this one! It is perfectly seasoned. I would tell you to be careful not to fill up on the rolls but seriously, that is stomach room well spent! I had the piccata and the sauce was well flavored. My husband loved the Parmesan chicken. Be advised: the portions are monstrous. The leftovers will definitely last another meal for us both. The lemon Italian cake for dessert was the perfect ending!" – Google Review
