Smoky Mountain Deer Farm

Start or end your Smoky Mountain vacation at the Smoky Mountain Deer Farm & Exotic Petting Zoo. We offer an unforgettable experience with some of nature’s most graceful creatures. You can do more than just look at the deer at the Deer Farm. You’re offered a rare opportunity to walk among, pet and feed over 100 hand-tamed deer as well as being able to interact with many other exotic animals from around the world!

Zebra, zonkeys, camels, reindeer, Kangaroos, wallabies, prairie dogs, miniature goats, exotic cattle, miniature horses and donkeys, emu, and many other exotic animals! For maximum enjoyment we suggest you wear casual clothing. Don’t forget to BRING YOUR CAMERA!

Continuing expansion brings additional animals seasonally. Fawns are born in June and July – a real treat to see! See the Bucks’ antlers growing April through August; in full rack September through March.

What else is there to do at the Zoo?

Let your children enjoy an old fashioned pony ride! Ride a gentle horse on guided trails at our riding stables. Bring a picnic lunch and use our picnic facilities

Are You Like Other Petting Zoos?

You do more than just look at deer at the Deer Farm. Walk among them, pet and feed over 100 hand-tamed deer. This is a rare opportunity to get close to these delicate, graceful creatures. Deposit Protection

Deposit protection enables you to receive either a refund or reschedule less the deposit protection amount and applicable tax. In order to receive a refund, you must cancel the reservation at least 30 days prior to arrival (for 1-3 bedroom cabins) and 60 days prior to arrival (for 4 bedroom and larger).

With Deposit Protection, once inside this window, you may still reschedule your reservation within 12 months and receive full credit for the amount paid minus the deposit protection amount if you reschedule at least 15 days prior to arrival for 1-3 bedroom properties or 30 days prior to arrival for 4+ bedroom properties. Once the 12 month time frame has expired all monies paid will be forfeited.
